Question by heatherbug82:
Do all male parrotlets have the blue feathering?
I know that male parrotlets have the blue streak behind their eyes and the blue feathers on their back/bottom/wings. But do ALL males get the blue feathers? I purchased a baby green parrotlet last year, hatch date 9/1/08, late October early November, and I was told by the breeder he was a male. But he doesn't have a single blue feather anywhere. Did he tell me the wrong sex or is there a possibility not all males get the blue?

I know how you can tell a male and female just by looking at their nosebills.
If it has a blue color or a lil bit bluish on the top of the nose--it's a male. If it has white or whitish in color--female.
